this is a great little vacuum. i have 2 cats and it efficiently picks up all the hair. easily put together. does the job and then some. compact and lightweight with powerful suction. you will not be disappointed in this item.
The extension cord is not as long as other cleaners I have owned. When vacuuming, the wind created by the motor blows everything to the right sided and around the room. There are more things wrong with this cleaner, than there are right. The vacuuming ability is average, where a couple or few passes will pick up the dirt. The hose flops off the body of the cleaner when vacuuming, where the methods which to hold it tight against the body are too big. I had to buy strips of velcro to keep this from happening. Overall, save your time and money or buy a different cleaner. This one sucks (or not very well).
Will now have to order a roller for $21. Noticed that the little plastic part that held the roller brush was melted.
The suction was powerful and the vacuum was very light. The hose kept on dislodging itself, which was annoying but fixable with a bit of teflon.
We bought this vacuum last year. Checked the band, everything was fine.
Band burned through shortly. Last week it started to smell like burning rubber again.
One the other side of the roller (the one held by the belt), the metal pin that is supposed to be in the middle of the rod was off-center, which I figure was the culprit of the struggle to rotate. I'm sure this company makes its money on parts.
Sucking is good (there 4 positions for lower and higher rugs). It is a very good vacuum for the price. You can wash the filter. We have just two area rugs and few small ones. So for us it works fine. It is light. It is easy to clean it.
She cleaned the rug and was amazed at the powerful suction (It took her for a walk). two vacuums, both lasted a day. It's not a very big apartment and the living room is the only room with a rug. My daughter opened it Christmas eve day because it was her turn to host our annual Xmas celebration. I bought 2 of these vacuums last Christmas. I mean it has POWERFUL suction. It started smoking near the wheel. I had not had a chance to use it yet but was happy to lend it to her because I felt bad that the one I bought her had croaked the first day she used it.She brought it home and vacuumed her rug and AGAIN, the same thing happened.
I could deal easily with this if it was just one vacuum that faulted but I bought TWO at the SAME TIME and BOTH died within A DAY of each other the FIRST TIME they were used. It started smoking near the wheel. One for me and one for my daughter as a Xmas present. It was more than disappointing. she was happy with it until she was almost finished going over the rug one last time for good measure. My daughter then asked to borrow mine the day after Xmas. I know NO vacuum is perfect and they all break down within months to several years but two vacuums the first day.The good thing about this vacuum was the powerful suction.
